Ewan McGregor biography

Ewan McGregor has fascinated many with his charm and talent. A little about him...Ewan McGregor was born to Carol Diane and James Charles Stewart on March 31, 1971 in Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland, "a beautiful place but very conservative - quite a lot of farmers and a lot of tweed," according to Ewan. His favorite actor is Jimmy Stewart, favorite color is green, and he likes soccer and motorcycle racing. He is married to Eve McGregor, a French production designer, and has two daughters whom he's understandably protective of. He emerged in the scene around 1994 when McGregor received critical acclaim for his role in the thriller Shallow Grave. After Shallow Grave he took on a role in the indie film Trainspotting. He took on the role of the young Obi-Wan Kenobi in the much anticipated prequel for Star Wars Episode I in 1999 and has also been in such movies as Emma, A Life Less Ordinary, and Velvet Goldmine. As of late, he's appeared in some of the most celebrated movies of our time, including the Tim Burton film Big Fish, Moulin Rouge, and his Natural Nylon production about the love of James Joyce, Nora.
